9. Closing an Event

You can close an Event that is In Progress without completing the associated Tasks. 

Before you begin 

Role required:  x_usdml_unifyevent.user or x_usdml_unifyevent.coordinator 

About this activity 

When an Event is in Triage, Planning or In Progress state, it can be closed directly using the Close Event button.  The button is only visible to the Assigned to user, or a ProcessX coordinator (after elevating roles).  Additionally, this button is only visible if the associated Event Type is configured to allow closure.

When an Event is closed, all Tasks and Action Items in the In Queue, Open, or In Progress state are skipped.  Tasks that are Closed-Complete state remain in that state. 

Procedure 

  1. Open the Event to be closed. 
  2. Click the Close Event button. 
  3. Enter the Close Notes. 
  4. Click Submit. 

The Event state will immediately change to Closed.
