Draft, review, and approve the Validation Summary Report for the ALM Project.
Before you begin
You must be a member of the relevant Event or Task Assignment group or Assigned to user to perform these steps.
Procedure
- Open the Validation Summary Management Event associated with the ALM Project.
- If the Validation Summary Event is in Triage, click Review Event Plan to move it to the Planning state. Ensure each step has an Assignment group and/or Assigned to user and click Start Work to move the Validation Plan Event to the In Progress state.
- Open the Validation Summary task and click Start Work to move the task to the In Progress state.
- Complete the fields on the task form and review the Requirements, Scripted Tests, Unscripted Tests, Requirement/Test Case Traceability, and Validation Deviations related lists. Note: The default Validation Summary fields are pre-populated based on a configured Validation Summary Report Template, including text that is automatically replaced with data from the current ALM Project (e.g., the Asset and Asset Version (Project)). Review the text thoroughly and update as appropriate. Provide sufficient detail so that approvers of the Validation Summary can make an informed decision.
- Click Complete.
Approving the Validation Summary Report
Once the Validation Summary task is completed, approval tasks for the report will open.

Validation Summary Report Event Closure
When the final Approval task is Closed – Complete, the Validation Summary Management Event state changes to Closed.
